We are seeking an enthusiastic person with excellent attention to detail to join the Secretarial Team at Sandhurst Group Practice. The role will support the Partners, Doctors and wider staff to provide the highest possible quality of care to our patients. Previous experience working within the medical profession with a background of working as a medical secretary is desirable for this role. Full training and support will be given to the successful canidate and tailored to their needs.

**Main job responsibilities**
- Typing of referral letters, proformas, reports etc for GP's and health professionals as requested in an accurate and quality manner.
- Liaising with hospitals both NHS and private and various clinics to obtain information.
- Accurate documentation onto patient notes.
- Submitting referrals via the eRS referral system which includes directing referrals to the correct clinic/department.
- Checking and maintaining the secretarial tasks list daily.
- To keep adequate and appropriate records to ensure an effective audit trail.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**
- Being able to work well independently and within a team.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your workload independently.
- Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to get involved and support the team as a whole.
- Computer literate
- Secretarial experience

**Desired but not essential**
- Secretarial experience within a GP practice
- Previous experience working with the clinical system EMIS web, Docman and eRS
