**About the role**

Following the needs of the artistic programme, the definitions of ENB’s house agreement with The Musicians’ Union and working to the priorities set by the Music Director, Principal Trombone or Music Administration Manager, the postholder will perform consistently to the highest standards in rehearsal and performances, and as Principal Trombone when required.

Our touring schedule includes London, regional venues in the UK and may include touring abroad. Other events may be arranged to support the work of the Engagement Department.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Proven track record of professional experience in a world class leading ballet/symphonic/opera orchestra as a 1st and/or 2nd trombone within the last year.
- Demonstrated ability to excel with a range of repertoire including new work.
- Educated to a Bachelor of Music (BMus) level or equivalent in music performance.
- Ability to adapt to the requirements of the schedule of a touring orchestra.
- Experience and ability to sit as Principal Trombone when required.
- Ability to lead by example in managing own learning and continuous professional development to the role.

The appointment will be under the terms and conditions as they are defined in ENB’s House Agreement with The Musicians’ Union.

Other applicants who were not successful for this position, may be considered for future work as Deputies or Extras and may be selected for audition.
