**Vacancy: Bookkeeper**
**Location**:Thornton-Cleveleys
**Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: £25,000 - £30,000 Per Annum (depending on experience), pro-rata for part-time hours.
**Hours**:16 - 22.5 hours per week over 3 days
We are a family-based company with over 25 years’ experience in the Construction industry and are keen to recruit a dedicated and dynamic individual with a minimum 5 years’ experience to join our busy office in Lancashire.
**Qualifications / Skills Required**
- Ideally hold or be working towards Level 2 AAT (or similar).
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software Xero.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and regulations.
- Excellent IT skills - Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets).
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors.
- Experience in Construction Industry Scheme and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT.
- Excellent communicator and confident telephone manner.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Prepared to take ownership of tasks.
- Keen to learn new things and develop skills and competence.
- Must be reliable, proactive and enthusiastic.
**Duties to include**:
- Assist with monthly management accounts.
- Process credit card payments & reconciliation.
- Processing supplier & sub-contractor payments including CIS deductions.
- Input and credit check new suppliers/customers.
- Process all fleet cars/vans including service, MOT, insurance etc.
- Assist with wages, timesheets & expenses.
- Assisting the directors with month end reports.
- Prioritising conflicting deadlines.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 16 - 22.5 per week
