This is a good opportunity for a clinician wanting to develop management skills whilst also retaining a small clinical caseload of more complex cases.

The successful person will be required to support and develop the team’s activities to deliver a quality post-diagnostic service to the client group. This includes 1:1 work, group work and short-term case management for service users with complex needs. There are opportunities to gain a broad range of experience and to develop specialist clinical skills.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience of managing staff and who holds a relevant professional qualification e.g. Nursing, Social Work, OT, Speech and Language therapy, or Psychology. Other essential qualities include being able to demonstrate a positive attitude to change and service development. You will be required to manage the team day-to-day whilst also working closely with stakeholders to develop strong links across local services for Autistic adults.

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 6,400 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 160 locations.

We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.

The successful applicant will provide line management and leadership to the Bolton post-diagnostic support team. You will work closely with the Clinical lead and our diagnostic service. You will also forge strong links with other ASC services and stakeholders across Greater Manchester to ensure that high standards of service provision are maintained for Autistic people in our region.
