We are seeking an IT & Clinical Systems Trainer to join our team. We have received significant national investment to enable frontline digitisation and digital innovation across the trust, making this a really exciting time to join us. Over the coming years we will be deploying many new systems and technology via a number of projects, alongside maintaining an excellent level of BAU support to our 4,000 users. This role will provide opportunities to maximise your existing skill set but also to learn new skills and to grow and develop in a range of areas. The trainer role is key to the successful delivery of our projects and to optimising the work done by our colleagues, subsequently having a direct impact on the care of our patients and service users.

Our team are currently based at Edward Street Hospital in West Bromwich and will be relocating to Peartree Lane in Dudley within 6 months. This role will require travel across the Black Country and a large part of the week will be spent working at other sites.

**Main duties of the job**

The IT / Clinical Systems trainer will play a key role in the development, delivery and management of digital systems across the Trust and support the review and development of training documentation and their contents such as End User Manuals, User Guides and Frequently Asked Questions.

You will be able to deliver excellent training in a range of ways, including face to face, via teams, with video, e-learning and written material. Your training delivery will look professional and deliver the right results for the learner - every time.

You will be required to provide floor walking support across all of our inpatient and community teams to ensure that learners are confident with the technology available to them.

You will be able to carry out training needs analysis to tailor training to organisational requirements and will respond effectively to organisational needs by contributing to the design and delivery of high quality training courses, primarily within the scope of existing and future projects within the trust. You will also have the ability to evaluate end user feedback of training courses and provide constructive suggestions to improve course content and delivery.

Our main clinical system is RiO but you will also need to train across a range of clinical and non clinical systems to support our exciting digital transformation agenda.

Key duties of the role include:

- Planning training
- Creating interesting, engaging learning interventions
- Delivering training across a range of mediums, to small and large multidisciplinary audiences
- Creating videos, e-learning and written training materials
- Providing onsite training support
- Thinking outside of the box to provide innovate training solutions
- Being a digital champion across the organisation
- Undertaking training evaluation and continuous improvement cycles

To join our team you’ll need to have:

- Strong, proven and demonstrable experience of teaching and training
- Knowledge of NHS Clinical systems, preferably with in-depth knowledge of the RiO clinical system in a mental health setting
- A real desire to help people to learn, grow and develop
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build great working relationships
- The ability to effectively manage priorities and work to deadlines
- A strong work ethic and high standards
- A passion for providing excellent customer service

**Qualifications**

**Essential criteria**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience in training on Electronic Patient Record (EPR) environment
- Hold a recognised training qualification or equivalent experience in training on an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) environment

**Skills**

- Full understanding of business processes and the ability to incorporate these into training materials
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to act under pressure e.g. time management, prioritise own workload and that of other Trainers and to meet deadlines
- Research skills and problem solving capabilities Ability to analyse and report assessment and evaluation results
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information on IT systems to non IT professionals
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and to be patient and diplomatic
- Ability to build working relationships with colleagues, internally and externally
- Ability to participate in working parties proposing policy
