Job title: Principal NDE Engineer

Location: Barrow

What you’ll be doing:

- Managing own tasks, delivering results, anticipating and escalating problem areas, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to more junior members of the Quality department and Operations staff
- Coaching within your area of expertise allowing you to articulate technical information in a way that is easy to understand
- Operate in both product and office environments
- Carry out NDE inspections/audits by yourself and with teams
- Support external procedure reviews and inquiries

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:

- PCN Level 2 in; MT (MPI), PT (DPI), UT, ToFD & PAUT

Desirable:

- Knowledge of running/operating NDT technology projects
- FdSc Non-Destructive Testing or B.Eng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of the Submarines infrastructure

The NDE Team:
In this role you will report to the NDE Quality Leader and will carry out NDE Surveillance in line with build and programme demands. In addition, you will be lead or support on one or more NDE technology Projects.
