We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated individual with a passion for childcare to join our team at our Bruntsfield Breakfast Club.
We are looking for a person who have experience working with children but most of a person who is willing to learn This role provides the opportunity to gain SVQ3 qualification, Children and Young people whilst in the workplace.
**Main Duties**:
- To assist with the provision of care and creative play opportunities in consultation with children and in accordance with Kidzcare principles and relevant childcare legislation.
- To ensure that the club’s child protection policy is followed at all times
- To assist the management in ensuring that children’s individual needs are recognised, and engaging them in establishing and maintaining boundaries for their behaviour.
- To assist with the handover/collection of children to other areas of the school.
- To support the management in ensuring that the club is a safe environment for all
- To prepare food and drink that promotes healthy eating, and complies with current food guidelines and food safety legislation.
- To assist with day-to-day administration and record keeping, including incident reports and risk assessments.
- To work as part of the staff team, and to contribute to the promotion of the centre and Kidzcare.
- To participate in playwork and other relevant training and development activities.
- To maintain constructive relationships and communicate with parents/carers, other professionals, and childcare/play-related agencies.
**Breakfast Club**: 7 ½ hrs per week Term Time Only
- Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9 am.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 7.5 per week
