**Payroll Specialist / Payroll Assistant**

Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist/Payroll Assistant to join an established payroll team based on the outskirts of Glasgow. As part of the payroll team you will be involved in payroll processing activities for the company’s UK sites. As part of the central Payroll team, using pre-defined HR processes and systems your remit will be to deliver a professional, accurate, consistent and high quality service to all internal and external customers and partners across UK locations

Your duties will include
- Role model customer service, whilst ensuring a great business experience
- Liaise directly with stakeholders and manage the quality standards across the team to ensure business requirements are met
- Lead process improvement activities and actively look for ways to improve the team delivery
- Support Team Leaders to develop skills and knowledge within the team
- Use data and insight to prioritise workflow and resolve issues, ensure effective audit and control frameworks are embedded and effective
- Proven experience and knowledge of working in Payroll environment
- Experience of processing end to end payroll.
- Preferred, but not essential experience with Oracle Fusion
- CIPP qualification, preferred, but not essential.
- Experience in dealing with third parties such as HMRC, Pension etc.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, collaborative and proven ability to work across teams and a good understanding of the importance of dealing with Key Stakeholders.
- HR / payroll administrative background within a shared service environment
- Experience of dealing with New Starters, Staff Changes, Leavers and personal detail changes into payroll
- Proficient in Excel - able to perform v lookups, pivot tables and simple formulae
- A team player who is meticulous and accurate with excellent attention to detail
- Current knowledge of HMRC legislation
