**The Role**

Lead the Logistics & Distribution team to improve the efficiency and timely despatch of orders, by ensuring systematic processes are set up and followed.

**You Will**
- Manage the efficient day to day running of the Logistics and Distribution team
- Assist the Supply Manager in leading the team and providing cover when required
- Oversee all team processes and ensure that projects, plans and procedures are in place to support them
- Manage the running of the twin packing line, recording the daily output, ensuring efficiency is maintained and agreed targets for both units and labour are achieved
- Adhere to individual customer requirements during the despatch and collation of orders
- Follow company procedures to guarantee timely despatch of goods from the warehouse
- Organise daily transport bookings ensuring despatch documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Monitor transport costs, researching new carriers and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager
- Be responsible for booking stock, maintaining stock levels and stock rotation
- Communicate, in a timely manner, any stock that is running low to the SOP team and report any low or out of stock items to the Supply Chain Manager, Sales and Production teams
- Comply with all relevant legislation and updating the team, as necessary
- Ensure the working environment is kept clean, tidy and that all H&S requirements are being implemented.

**You Will Be**
- Experienced working in a warehouse environment
- Experienced in stock management systems
- A self-starter and confident in driving tasks through to conclusion
- Ethical, with good people skills
- Preferably experienced in driving a forklift truck
- Numerate and educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including passes in Maths and English.
