We have an opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a national provider of Open Space Management to deliver a range of projects that benefit our clients, biodiversity, and residents.

We care about the environment in which we work, creating and maintaining habitats that support local wildlife and encourage nature back into areas impacted by construction. This will include an ever growing number of sites that we will help achieve biodiversity net gain.

**The Role**

As our Ecologist, you will be crucial to our continued success by providing ecological guidance and assurance to a varied range of developments across the country. This will include planning and conducting field surveys, completing Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments and associated monitoring plans that will safeguard the delivery of projected BNG uplifts. Aiding our wider team with work enquiries, quote preparations and building client relationships will be a key requirement. As will championing community engagement and appreciation of open spaces.

**The Person**
- A degree in ecology or closely related field;
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), chartership, or being on the route to chartership
- Good working knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation, planning policies, licensing requirements and best practice survey techniques;
- Capable at undertaking survey and reporting for Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and Ecological Impact Assessment;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Highly motivated, reliable, with the commitment to complete activities.
- A full valid UK/EEC driving license.

Experience working within the housebuilding sector or green services environment (grounds maintenance, arboriculture, landscaping & estates services) is preferable, however what is important is the willingness and ability to do what is right.
