The Marine Theatre is a beautiful arts venue in the heart of Lyme Regis, Dorset. There are music, comedy, theatre, and community events, alongside occasional weddings.

We’re looking for someone to help deliver communications and marketing within a small team. Overlooking the sea and with fun colleagues, it’s a lovely place to work. There’s lots to do for someone who has a passion for the arts and community.

You’ll be responsible for delivering creative marketing tasks that help drive ticket sales, awareness, and engagement at the Marine Theatre for events and weddings.

You’ll report to the Marketing and Programme manager and will work closely with the Director, Events Coordinator, and wider team to develop and deliver day to day marketing.
- A proven track record in delivering creative marketing
- Experience of delivering engaging social media with creative content
- Writing persuasively, accurately, and succinctly for press releases, websites, and mailing lists
- Using mailing list software
- Creating targeted online advertisements
- Updating websites
- Designing posters, social media assets, and print

You will have
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when writing
- A passion for music, comedy, theatre and community events, alongside a wider knowledge of culture
- A strong visual awareness when creating and using marketing assets
- The ability to work quickly and manage multiple areas of work efficiently and accurately

The job is 3 days a week part time (24 hours) working on site at the Marine.

Salary is £22,000 - 24,000 pro-rata.

The working pattern will be decided at the time of a job offer.

The Marketing Coordinator can come to any events with a guest at no charge.
