**The Role**
My client has an opportunity for someone who will support the Fleet Technical and Marine Superintendent in maintaining the division's vessels and operating its plant and machinery to the highest international standards. Oversee all maintenance activities related to the company's vessels, including routine inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance to ensure vessels are in optimal operating condition and coordinate the procurement of spare parts, equipment, and services necessary for vessel maintenance and repair operations.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute efficient planned maintenance systems for all company vessels under your jurisdiction, including those managed technically.
- Liaise with clients and company management to devise and elucidate maintenance procedures and strategies, ensuring alignment with appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), where applicable.
- Ensure that newly acquired vessels conform to commercial and statutory standards, striving to ensure their suitability for their intended purposes, timely delivery, and effective integration into service.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on individual projects as needed.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the Company's technical knowledge base, thereby supporting its growth and operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant technical standards, including those prescribed by the Company, classification societies, and statutory bodies.
- Collaborate with Chief engineers and vessel Masters to assess and rectify vessel defects, coordinating repairs to optimise vessel uptime.
- Supervise the effective maintenance and operation of owned and managed vessels through the utilisation of the Company's planned maintenance system.
- Participate in training activities as necessary to meet Company regulations and comply with legislative requirements.
- Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in a pertinent technical field.
- Demonstrate prior experience in a comparable technical role, including management of vessels.
- Able to be composed, professional and show resilience when under pressure
