**Job Title**:Northamptonshire Landscape Officer

**Contract**:Fixed term to 31st March 2025

**Hours**:37 hours per week (1fte)

**Location**: Fineshade, Northamptonshire NN17 3BB (with the possibility of hybrid working. Frequent travel required to field sites across Northamptonshire.

**Salary**:Grade C, £27,065 to £31,268 per annum, dependent upon experience, plus 8% pension contribution

We’re recruiting for a crucial post to help deliver our ambitious plans for species and landscape recovery in Northamptonshire.

As Northamptonshire Landscape Officer you will be responsible for driving species recovery for threatened butterflies and moths by co-ordinating and implementing landscape-scale improvements in collaboration with landowners and project partners.

Your work will include planning an extensive programme of habitat works, managing and supervising contractors as well as carrying out detailed habitat assessments and monitoring to target the capital works of the project and measure the effectiveness of these activities in moving target species along the recovery curve.

This is a varied and active role and you’ll need to be a competent field naturalist with a strong commitment to nature conservation, a sound understanding of ecological processes and have experience delivering habitat management for targeted species outcomes. You’ll have experience of working in partnerships and will be adept at engaging with a wide range of people including volunteers, land managers, government agencies and others.

You will become part of our Conservation team in England and will be able to draw upon the expertise of staff and branches across the UK.
