ASSIST (Autism & Sensory Support in Staffordshire) is part of the Specialist Support Service which provides access and support for people who have a hearing/vision impairment or an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). ASSIST has a post-16 focus on supporting in community, work, further and education settings.

You will help with the day-to-day running of ASSIST, and will have the opportunity to develop specialist skills, knowledge and understanding in relation to sensory impairment and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

You will work alongside the Project Co-ordinator and fellow Translation & Transcription Co-ordinators to develop and support the post-16 work the service delivers.

You must have:

- Experience in administration or equivalent qualification
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or high-level computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills
- Hearing impairment, vision impairment or ASC knowledge would be useful along with some signing skills or British Sign Language Level 1, however specialist training will be provided in this area if you do not have this knowledge.
