Purchase Ledger Clerk

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Inputting supplier invoices on to SAP
- Reconcile monthly supplier statements.
- Raise payments by cheque/BACS.
- Investigating purchase ledger queries
- Logging, maintaining and filing invoices
- To always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Work as part of a larger team to develop working practices and procedures.
- Work safely and responsibly within MJ Quinn’s values and operational policies, procedures, and accepted behaviours to avoid harm to yourself, those around you and our neighbours and communities.

To be effective in this role the Purchase Ledger Clerk will need to:
- Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
- Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively with all other departments.
**Person Specification**
To be successful in this role the Purchase Ledger Clerk will:
- Have previous experience within a Finance department/processing high volume invoice.
- Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Have the ability to prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines and manage business expectations.
- Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
- Be presentable with a professional appearance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Confident, self-motivated and positive.
- Willing to learn.
- A legal right to work in the UK.
**Education, Qualification and Certification**
To be successful in this role the Purchase Ledger Clerk will:
- Have a high standard of numeracy.
- Be educated to a G.C.S.E level A-C in Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Be computer literate.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
