We have a fantastic opportunity for a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer to join our friendly professional team based in Swindon.

As a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be required to troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely manner and to the highest quality, both at head office and showrooms via telephone and remote desktop.

This role involves a mixture of office and homeworking, and you will be the first point of contact for IT support issues. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting desktops, phones, and printers.

Half-day Saturday (AM) support is required on a shift pattern approximately one in three, whereby TOIL will be accrued. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will take ownership of incidents and manage them in a logical and methodical manner and be able to find effective solutions whilst maintaining an impeccable customer service record.

As a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out daily checks, reporting and resolving issues, assembling, provisioning, and repairing hardware such as desktops and laptops, installing desktops, phones, printers, and other IT equipment.

To succeed in this 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer role, you will be an advocate for working collaboratively and collectively in pursuit of joint goals across multiple functions, you will have an appetitive to contribute towards a continual cycle of change.

In order to drive efficiently and quality, you will challenge what we do, why we do it, and present ideas on how improvement can be made. You will be working as part of a dynamic team to ensure high standards of support and user satisfaction across our headoffice, showrooms, and depots nationwide.

**Essential Skills**
- First class troubleshooting skills
- Relevant professional qualification or professional experience
- Experience in a similar IT support tech role
- Experience of installing and administering the following:

- MS Windows 10
- MS Office 365 / Azure
- Dell server and desktop hardware
- Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and termination
- IP networking
- IP phones
- Switches and routers
- Printers
