**Therapeutic Services**: Provide complementary therapies such as massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki, and relaxation techniques to patients in the inpatient unit and at home through the Hospice at Home service. Tailor therapy sessions to meet the individual needs and preferences of patients, considering their physical condition, emotional state, and treatment goals. Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct initial assessments and consultations with patients to determine their suitability for complementary therapies and develop personalised care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy interventions as needed to address changes in symptoms, pain levels, and overall well-being.
**Patient Education and Support**: Educate patients and their families about the benefits and potential risks of complementary therapies, providing information and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their care. Offer emotional support, active listening, and empathetic presence to patients during therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for healing and relaxation. Collaborative Care Coordination: Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, therapists, and chaplains, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients and their families. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and care planning sessions to share insights, recommendations, and updates on patient progress.
**Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, and patient progress notes in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Prepare reports and updates on therapy activities, outcomes, and trends for review by the senior leadership team.
