**The Best Connection specialises in supplying flexible workforce solution to the industrial, driving, warehouse, distribution & logistics, construction, retail, food & healthcare sectors throughout the UK.**

We are looking to employ an HR Consultant with outstanding administrative and communication skills. You will be a conceptual thinker with superb organisational and time management skills. Reliability is essential and you should have the ability to accurately follow instructions, meet deadlines, and be able to prioritise tasks.

**Salary**: £28,000 - £30,000

**Location**: This location is based on the outskirts of Carlisle so own transport is required as public transport is not accessible.

**Job Length**: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. This role is ongoing.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support
- Compile and update employee records.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
- Maintain Employee records
- Act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Perform Inductions for new staff.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Process payroll and resolve any payroll errors.
- Complete and manage exit interviews.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

**Role Requirements**:

- 2 years of experience as an HR assistant (essential).
- Exposure to labour law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Exposure to payroll practices.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Fantastic organisational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
