**The Company**
With a reach covering the whole of the globe, my client manufactures luxury products with quality and functionality at the forefront of everything they do.
Due to an enviable order book and sustainable future business, they are now looking to strengthen their CI Team with a suitably experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their impressive Wolverhampton operation.
**Please be aware that it is necessary to live within a reasonable commute of the Wolverhampton site, as we are not looking for those that would need to relocate.**
**The Role**
You'll be supporting the company's manufacturing processes continuous improvement strategy across 3 sites, developing and rolling out improvements to the manufacturing and associated sections of the business.
- You’ll develop systems that improve all the usual metrics of safety, cost, quality, efficiency, as well as how this impacts the end customer.
- This will include coaching and training on new systems by being visible, available and hands on.
- Introducing structured Kaizen activities across the 3 sites to ensure the CI activity can succeed.
- Using 3C/A3/8D approach to providing remedial actions, you’ll also monitor KPI’s at all sites to determine trends or areas of success.
- You’ll need to be data driven and use this data to identify areas of improvement, and to ensure results are in line with the company plan and strategy.
- You’ll coach and train the teams so they can investigate non-conformances and follow through with appropriate corrective and preventive action plans.
- You’ll also be an ambassador for the CI team, so you’ll need to develop relationships and a culture where sharing best practice and using CI tools is the norm.
- You’ll be instrumental in promoting and coordinating the sharing of best practices and CI initiatives from all sites.
**The Person**
This is obviously an important role within an established and successful brand, as such there are certain needs to be met in order to be considered:
- Ideally degree qualified within an engineering discipline. However, those with experience and vocational certification will also be considered.
- Six Sigma certified (green belt or above)
- Some experience of managing projects
- Relevant experience in a similar Continuous Improvement role within manufacturing, with a proven track record of implementing improvements.
- A solid understanding of modern lean manufacturing tools.
- Sound IT skills within the usual MS Office suite and Power BI
- Proven experience of working within diverse team structures
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to visit the 2 other sites.
