Our team of Necking Operators are responsible for providing an efficient necking production and breakdown service and responsible for the the mechanical tasks associated with the necking mahcinery.

A role has become available for flexible working to cover holidays and absence for core team members.

Key responsibilities include
- To set and run the necking machines
- To carry out fault finding on necking machines and correct as required.
- To monitor and control usage, tool life and requisition within Necking
- To observe company environmental, health and safety regulations at all times.
- To carry out any Necking machine repair required by Production Manager or Shift Manager.
- To report any problems with necking machines likely to affect production, or machines defects likely to make the machine unsafe to work.
- To re-make spares if not available during breakdown.
- To keep all tooling available for operators.
- To efficiently carry out the Planned Preventative Maintenance to company standards.
- To assist with the continuous improvement of processes.
- To manage projects as determined by the Production Manager.
- To hand over to the on-coming Necking Operator and inform him/her of the state of the lines.
- To communicate effectively with other team members.
- To minimise waste and maintain a clean and tidy work place.
- To maintain accurate records according to Ball Aerosol requirements.
- To adhere to ISO 9001 and BRC requirements.

**CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT**
- To develop, in conjunction with others, working methods and systems to continuously improve safety, product quality, efficiency and waste.
- To participate in and support the Management team and colleagues in Continuous Improvements projects.

The core hours for this role are Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm however the employee will be require flexibility to cover shift workers. When covering shifts the hours are 6am - 6pm on Days and 6pm - 6am on Nights.
