**The Opportunity** A critical opportunity has arisen in the Future Systems directorate to support a major weapon programme in developing its future product evolution, export requirements and programme cooperation potential.

Working predominantly within the weapon engineering team, you will work with key MBDA, Customer and export partners to establish an affordable and credible product evolution roadmap, and through Future Systems, establish an endorsed R&T investment programme.

The role reports to the Head of Strike (UK) in Future Systems and to the programme's Head of New Business and Transformation, and provides significant opportunity to engage across the MBDA business, and to engage broadly with the UK Customer community.

The role encompasses significant level of flexibility in dynamic working.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Single point of contact in the UK for developing, maintaining and gaining endorsement of the product roadmaps and support to the Product Line Owner roadmaps.
- Technical development and maintenance of exportability elements for the UK programme elements.
- Alignment of UK and FR internal investment and product roadmaps.
- Generation of internal investment submissions, in conjunction with the Product Line Owners, to support the product evolution plans, programme transformation and future business.
- Management and delivery of internal investment activities and achievement against agreed goals.
- Developing the governance, understanding and support between the programme, Future Systems and Product Line Owners.
- Promoting wider Technology Demonstrator Programmes and research and exploitation options internally to MBDA, into MOD R&T mechanisms and into business transformation programmes.

**Your Skills & Experience**:

- Demonstrable engineering experience across a broad set of weapon system technologies.
- Skilled in adaptive methodologies that accommodate uncertainty and support evidential and clear outcomes.
- Experience of establishing business winning bids and credible product costs and schedules.
- Industry and Customer engagement skills at senior level, recognising relevant partners within each organisation.
- Experience of working in an international environment.

**The Role Supports**:

- Informing the programme's future business partners and the development of engagement plans.
- Building the functional links into Future Systems from the programme transformation, exportability and internal investment activities.
- Future core UK programme bid activities.
- Sales and Business at national and Group level in developing the campaign approach and capability strategy.
- Driving re-use assumptions across MBDA.
- Senior Programmes, Future Systems and Group Business Development engagement at director level and with the senior Customer community.
