**Role Summary, Responsibilities & Requirements**

The Machine Operative’s role is conducting various machine operations & general duties on HVAC products and specialist ventilation system products for safety critical facilities. This role reports directly to production supervision & sits within the operational level of the business.

**Responsibilities**

The primary responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to the following.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with weekly plans.
- Perform tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.
- Setup & operate all manufacturing machinery in accordance with procedures. (Including seam welder)
- Interpreting engineering drawings to markup products related to machine operation.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure product quality.
- Assembly of basic HVAC products such as joint assembly.
- Carry out tasks using power tools to assist production.
- Carry out painting, sealing & packaging activities.
- Comply in full to manufacturing SHEQ best practice/ behaviours and legislation.
- Support the manufacturing team in achieving deliverables.

**Essential**
- Proven experience as a machine operative or similar role in a steel fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/ information.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles.
- Overhead crane experience (training will be provided).
- Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative & with others safely & efficiently.

**Highly Desirable (but not essential)**
- HVAC Experience.
- Nuclear quality related experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £29,668.00 per year

**Experience**:
