Our Maintenance Team

The Maintenance team at Langdale Hotel and Spa is a dedicated and skilled group of professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of property and estate services. Comprised of experienced professionals, this team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of the Langdale Estate. With a focus on measured, professional service, the team excels in responsive, preventative, and progressive maintenance, covering a spectrum of areas such as plumbing & heating, electrical, joinery, general building, and painting & decoration. Their responsibilities extend to programmed preventative maintenance, scheduled checks, and rapid response to fire alarms, showcasing their versatility and commitment to safety. As the first point of contact for stakeholders regarding maintenance tasks, the team maintains excellent communication and customer service levels. Upholding Langdale’s Environment Policy and contributing to the organisation's sustainability goals, the Maintenance team at Langdale Hotel and Spa is an integral part of creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for guests through their meticulous attention to detail and dedication to excellence.

Main Purpose of the Role:
As a valued member of the Property & Estate Services team, the Maintenance Duty Fitter plays a vital role in providing a measured and professional service, encompassing responsive, preventative, and progressive maintenance across the Langdale Estate. The primary focus is to meet business needs by executing programmed preventative maintenance, conducting scheduled checks, and ensuring both reactive and proactive maintenance. Additionally, the role involves swift response to fire alarms, acting as the first point of contact for stakeholders regarding deficiencies and maintenance tasks.

Main Duties:
The Maintenance Duty Fitter collaborates with the team to maintain and repair estate properties, covering plumbing & heating, electrical, joinery, general building, and painting & decoration. Duties include on-call emergency response, timely handling of job cards and radio calls, and working at height or in confined spaces with appropriate training. Proficiency in using various tools and equipment, interpreting repair instructions, measuring, and calculating as necessary is essential. The role also involves routine inspections, logging faults, maintaining records, and ensuring the safe use of vehicles, tools, and equipment. Active promotion of Langdale’s Environment Policy, responsibility for fire safety, and rapid response to fire alarm calls are key components. Interaction with stakeholders, maintaining high customer service levels, attending relevant training, and assisting the Maintenance Manager in maintaining compliance of site assets are integral to the role.
