We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team. We want someone who is either eager to learn new skills or ready to build from prior experience acquired elsewhere. The Plough’s kitchen is fast paced, allowing us to serve many customers and dishes through our restaurant and Just Eat over the course of a shift. Our kitchen team prides itself on the food we serve, and we are looking for someone who help us take our kitchen to the next level.

Job roles include but are not limited to:

- Helping the chefs to present and serve our wide range of dishes varying from starters, main courses, and desserts.
- Learn how to prepare, make, and serve several dishes including desserts and pizzas from our brand-new Pizza Menu.
- Aid the other kitchen staff by helping with routine food-prep throughout the day
- Making sure the hygiene and health & safety of the kitchen is kept up to the high standard that is to be expected from a fast-paced restaurant.
- Washing of cookware, crockery, cutlery etc to a high standard to keep rotation of equipment.
- General cleaning of the kitchen including wiping of surfaces, sweeping, changing of bins and more.

Possessing a driving licence is preferred as this will allow you to take on extra shifts operating as a food delivery driver but is not a requirement.

Hours will vary over a business year, during quieter periods of the year shifts may be limited to weekends. During busy periods including school holidays, bank holidays and summer months, hours can vary between 20-30 per week. Extra shifts as a Just Eat driver will be always available to those with a driver’s licence.
