Junior Merchandiser

**About The Role**:
We are looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join our fabulous team in Coalville, Leicestershire, to assist the Merchandiser / Senior Merchandiser in planning, purchasing, intake and distribution of stock to maximise sales and margin for the department. You'll be accountable for given categories, delivering; merchandising strategy, intake,stock flow, sales & profit figures working alongside the buying team.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Develop positive working relationships with all suppliers, working closely with the buying team to ensure an awareness of all orders being proposed
- Be a role model to all and motivate junior members of the team in order to potentialise their talent through effective management and help them to progress forward in their career
- Proactively be involved in the department strategy, helping to plan and build a commercial product range that reflects the Nutmeg strategy
- Present to Merchandise/Senior merchandiser a clearly defined merchandising plan and strategy for the given category supported by clear and sound reasoning
- Ensure maximum availability on never out of stock lines
- Accurate critical path management to ensure the right stock is delivered into the business at the right time, protecting stock and cash flow to allow sales and profit targets to be delivered
