**MARKETING AND ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT**

**Purpose of role**

The Marketing and Admissions Assistant helps to deliver the School’s growth strategy and ensure that the School meets its pupil recruitment targets each year. The desired outcome is to maintain and improve pupil numbers, to expand use of our facilities and consequently to increase revenue for the School.

The Marketing and Admissions Assistant works to enhance further the School’s excellent local reputation, increase the profile of Moorlands School, and promote our ethos and opportunities in the local community. They deliver day-to-day marketing activity and administer the admissions process from initial enquiry to sign-up.

**Main responsibilities**
- Deliver and help to shape the School’s marketing plans in order to meet pupil recruitment and retention targets.
- Develop and implement positive PR campaigns and marketing communications across multiple channels. Produce and distribute media releases, advertising and marketing communications. Promote the School’s facilities to potential hirers.
- Contribute to and deliver an effective digital strategy, including maintaining the school’s website and posting on social media. Ensure that the School’s digital presence is effective through search engine optimisation, use of google ads and so on.
- Oversee elements of the School’s external and media relations. Organise, support and play a key ‘front of house’ role at promotional and pupil recruitment events. Represent the School, acting as an ambassador for the School where appropriate.
- Build relationships with prospective parents, ensuring that they enjoy a high-quality customer experience.
- Administer the School’s admissions procedures, using our specialist software to monitor all interactions and ensure that prospective parents receive great communications.
- Contribute to the production of promotional materials for the School, for specific events or activities and for the School’s facilities. Liaise with third-party agencies including the marketing team at Woodhouse Grove School.
- Ensure consistent implementation of the School’s brand guidelines, particularly across all external communications and advertising.
- Monitor and control spending within an allocated budget.
- Produce regular updates for the Senior Leadership Team and Governors on the School’s marketing and admissions programmes and on anticipated pupil numbers.
- Remain informed about Data Protection rules and ensure that the School’s marketing communications are compliant.

The post-holder may be required to carry out additional duties as required by the Head Teacher.

**Hours of work**

The Marketing and Admissions Assistant is line-managed by the Head Teacher. The role is for 20 hours a week, term-time only (35 weeks plus four INSET days) plus four extra weeks in the

School and occasionally at weekends.

**Person specification**

The Marketing and Admissions Assistant is a dynamic, passionate and capable individual. They are proactive, resourceful, adaptable and keen to develop skills across marketing and administration, setting the highest quality and customer service standards. They are a team player, an excellent communicator and a good administrator with an eye for detail. They have a professional interest in marketing and communications, preferably with some experience of digital marketing.

The Marketing and Admissions Assistant must be able to communicate a passion for the school, working collaboratively with all stakeholders both internal and external. Commitment to maintaining a high standard and a well organised flow of communication with prospective parents is imperative.

They must have the necessary administrative and self-management skills to deliver the marketing and admissions functions of the school with energy, optimism and attention to detail. The ability to speak and write with a high level of accuracy and flair is essential to the role. The Marketing and

Admissions Assistant will need to work flexibly at times to attend School events held in the evening and occasionally at weekends.

Relevant degree and/or experience Desirable

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage Marketing and Admissions Essential processes and organise successful events

Previous experience in a school environment Desirable
