**Legal Secretary**

**Lanarkshire**

**£23,000 - £28,000 annually (depending on experience)**

**35 hours a week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm**

**Reporting to Fee Earner**

Reed are recruiting for an experienced legal secretary at a Lanarkshire law firm, who can strengthen their legal team, meet/greet clients, assist fee earners in various practice areas, and carry out general office admin.

**To succeed in the role you must**:

- Have 1 or more years experience as a legal secretary, with some experience in one or more of the following**:conveyancing (residential or commercial), criminal, family law, private client, dispute resolution, litigation, wills, POA, medical negligence, personal injury, group action**.
- Be proficient at audio and copy typing - a knowledge of dictation software will be ideal.
- Have experience in drafting various legal documents.
- Have a familiarity with case management software e.g. _LawPro._
- Have excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Be strong at general administrative tasks and office admin.
- Enjoy working as part of a busy team.

**The responsibilities of the role will be**:

- Providing support to fee earners in various practice areas.
- Audio and copy typing letters and other documents.
- Drafting legal documents.
- Arranging and coordinating meetings with clients.
- Calls to and from court.
- Use of case management system to support the preparation of documents.
- General office admin.
