We are looking for a customer service / hire desk professional from a tool, plant, access, or any other equipment hire background, who wants to develop their career and help us grow our business.
The Hireman is an independent tool hire company providing construction equipment services to professional contractors working in London and the Home Counties. Established in 1985, we have a successful track record and ambitious plans for growth. Our customers construct and maintain the buildings and infrastructure that we rely on for our homes, offices, schools, shops and hospitals, and we help them deliver their projects on time and on budget.
**What will I be doing?**
As part of a depot-based office team, you will look after our customers and coordinate our service delivery, working closely with our workshop, warehouse and driving teams. You will be involved in all the following activities:
- Dealing with customers at the trade counter
- Helping, giving advice, solving problems, and building relationships
- Processing orders on our computer system and general administration
- Monitoring stock levels and organising equipment transfers from other depots
- Organising deliveries and collections into driver schedules/runs
**What do I need?**
- A proven track record of providing great customer service, ideally within the hire industry
- The enthusiasm to learn about our business and range of equipment
- The ability to multi-task, working quickly and accurately under pressure
- A good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skill
- A sense of humour
**What are we offering?**
