This is a great opportunity to support in managing an established staff team, supporting adults with learning disabilities to gain skills and confidence to move into their own homes.

The team supports up to 20 adults to live as independently as possible in their own home, this being across the main service and 2 smaller group homes.

As Team Leader, you will oversee the work of the team and ensure they deliver high quality support, working in partnership with other professionals. You will also work direct support shifts which will enable you to coach and mentor the team. You will support the manager to formally supervise staff, assist with compiling the rota, support with training and sickness management so experience in this area is essential.

You will be expected to be part of leading the service that provides personalised, high-quality care and support based on the needs, aspirations and rights of adults with a learning disability, some of whom have physical and mental health needs.

You will need to work in partnership with a range of professionals - GPs, health support services such as physios, speech and language, nurses etc, as well as with the people we support and their families, requiring excellent communication, relationship, and interpersonal skills.

No two days are the same and you must be able to problem solve and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

You will also lead the team to ensure compliance with local and national quality standards and ensure that this is recorded and evidenced.

You will need to have experience of supporting people with learning disabilities or similar needs and hold a Health & Social Care RQF Level 3.

Be confident in using computer systems to organise and record information clearly and accurately and within deadlines if needed.
