Minister of Religion

**Roles of Minister of Religion**
- Leading the congregation in cross-cultural mission and evangelism in the context of diaspora and culture.
- Bible teaching and preaching in churches, seminars and conferences
- Leading prayer aimed at boosting the spiritual life of the church
- Officiate in marriages and funerals
- Pastoral care of congregants
- Providing counselling and prayers to marginalised members of the community.
- Leading and teaching in worship services
- Leading the congregation in music when possible
- Liaise with cross-cultural mission agencies on behalf of the church
- Provide marriage counselling
- To develop programmes suitable for the church in Community outreach and evangelism.

**Qualification and Experience**

Must be Born again and filled with the Holy Spirit
- Must have the fruits mentioned in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:7-9

Must have organisation, self-motivation, good written/verbal communication skills; team Player, compassion

Spiritual gifts: Administration, leadership, teaching

Requisite evangelical pastoral experience in cross cultural and multi -cultural contexts

Must be be passionate about youth development, evangelism and community work.

A theology degree is a basic requirement or equivalent length of experience in Christian ministry as an ordained minister

Excellent management skills including conflict management
