**The organisation**:
In this Young Persons Support Worker opportunity in the Birmingham area, you will join a reputable organisation helping young people, between the ages of 16-25, get temporary accommodation as they have been stated as homeless.

**Key responsibilities**:
In this Young Persons Support Worker job, your responsibilities will include:

- Teaching key life skills to equip them when they transfer out of temporary accommodation
- Formatting a CV to help them gain employment / or getting back Into education to further their skills
- Carrying out health and safety checks In their accommodation - making sure they don't fall Into rent arrears
- Supporting them on a 1:1 basis - ensuring they follow up on their tailored support plans

**Skills & experience**:

- Proven track record of working within supported housing - Ideally young person's 16-25 year olds
- A valid DBS - Issued within the last 12 months or on the update service - needs to be child and adult cleared
- Able to work flexible between 8am-10pm 5 days over 7 - shift work basis.

**Benefits**:

- Weekly pay for 12 weeks - temporary to permanent role
- 37.5 hours per week guaranteed - working 5 days over 7
