**A little bit about what we are looking for...**

We have a great opportunity for a Surveyor to join our Property Services team, specialising in voids. You will be providing a comprehensive Surveying resource for the Assets Department, covering all aspects of Responsive Repairs, Major Works and Voids.

Please bear in mind you will need to be available to be on call for an average of 2 - 3 weeks per annum. This will run on a weekly basis from 5:00pm on Monday to 9:00am the following Monday.

We are happy to offer hybrid working with this role; When not onsite, you will be required to be in the office for around 2/3 days per week with the rest being from home, however please bear in mind we may need you to be in the office more within your probation and training. It's important to us that you feel fully ready and confident in the role before working from home. Of course if you'd prefer to be in the office more, then that is completely fine with us too

**Your responsibilities...**
- Inspect housing stock and building works, prepare specifications; compile tender/contract documentation to deliver repairs and void works.
- Work within authorised budgets and to agreed quality standards.
- Assist all colleagues and contractors in order to achieve top quartile performance in all aspects of maintenance services.
- Limit risk to the organisation through working knowledge of legislation risk management.
- Carry out pre and post inspections utilising the protimeter and iauditor.
- Specify, authorise and manage works to completion.
- Work with contractors to utilise the budget for maintenance effectively.
- Project manage customer requests.
- Work with the Administration Team to organise workloads and effectively manage communication.
- Collate evidence to manage contractor performance.
- Manage complaints and disrepair from contract inception to completion.

For this role you need to have experience of scheduling building / planned maintenance works and contract administration as well as experience of communicating with service users, staff and other agencies. Knowledge of housing maintenance, repair specifications, diagnosing defects and remedial works will be important, and it would be great if you are qualified to a minimum HNC standard, or have previous experience in a Construction / Maintenance environment.
