**Summary Description**
To ensure credit control / sales ledger tasks are undertaken in a professional and diligent manner, in areas demanding particular attention to detail. You will perform your function in an internally and externally focused environment and will present the company in numerous guises. The role will encompass specific but also more general tasks as and when required and will be varied to provide interest and personal development. Appropriate training courses will be available as and when required and necessary.
**Main responsibilities**
- Issuing customer invoices and proforma invoices.
- Releasing proforma orders.
- Updating customer information.
- Daily posting of bank payments and taking credit card payments in GBP and EUR.
- Daily reconciliation of the client deposit account and associated spreadsheets.
- Issue monthly statements.
- Processing credit notes.
- Dealing with customer queries and account reconciliations.
- Upload payments into bank ready for authorisation.
- Obtain trade references, check credit score and open customer credit accounts.
- Keep various key information spreadsheets updated.
- Assist with year end and audit information as required.
- Performing other appropriate duties as requested, provide holiday cover for purchase ledger, reception and other accounts activities.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and an ability to communicate effectively via telephone in a commercial and administrational environment.
- Must have ability to enter data accurately whilst working under pressure and achieve deadlines at peak times of the year
- Applicants must be self-starters and problem solvers, able to work under pressure and without direct supervision at times.
- A good working knowledge of excel including vlookup, concatenation.
- Previous experience within a credit control function is a must.
- Previous experience of using a bookkeeping system is required and knowledge of Sage 200 would be most advantageous.

- 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week. 9-5pm
