Belmond has a fantastic opportunity for a Product Operations & Inventory Executive to join the Revenue Management & Product Operations team at the Trains & Cruises Head Office in London.

**Inventory Control**
- Setup, develop and maintain trains and cruises businesses in product management systems (PMS), web systems (CMS) and Central Reservation System (CRS) including input of product detail, selling inventories and departure schedules. Taking full ownership of assigned businesses in terms of inventory control.
- Ensure inventory levels are managed effectively, daily monitoring of availability and sales pace to ensure best commercial use of space with appropriate consideration to marketing and planning objectives.
- Ensure efficiencies in day-to-day space co-ordination.
- Initiate and encourage relationships with sales teams and become familiar with major accounts/group business, monitoring associated performance.
- Ensure potential group and charter opportunities are managed effectively to optimise inventory efficiency/revenue.
- Identification of trip-by-trip strengths and weaknesses within the schedule of operation alert DDRM as appropriate.
- Assemble and distribute product updates across Product Management System (PMS), Internet and Intranet.
- Conduct presentations and training sessions of Trains and Cruises as required to ensure understanding of product and procedures across all departments.
- Prepare and communicate weekly availability updates internally as necessary and close out list to the travel trade.

**Product Operations**
- Set up, develop and ensure integrity of product operating schedules along with associated package content and inventory controls for the PMS and internet.
- Ensure accuracy of content on in-house ‘Infohub’ product systems, this to include Management of schedule files, Itineraries and seasonal collateral and core product details.
- Follow up/coordination of passengers affected by cancelled trips/disruptions and support train/cruise operational incidents and assist with rebooking opportunities.
- Liaison with train/cruise operations staff to facilitate their preparation of trips and to act as a supportive link between sales and operations offices
- VIP report, ensuring GM’s, Management team are advised in advance of regular guests, executive management travel and PR related events.
- Assist in testing and further development of the Product Management System, web management and distribution systems.
- Act as a central go-to representative for assigned products in relation to commercial queries and product advice.

**Requirements**:

- 2 - 4 years relevant experience within a similar role.
- Relevant management or field/industry related diploma or degree.
- Proven experience of dealing with all aspects of travel/hospitality operations & coordination in a customer related business.
- Experience in revenue management and inventory control.
- Knowledge of the reservations/booking process and all associated technology.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible working hours and support products outside of normal working hours when required
