Laboratory Supervisor

A full time Laboratory Supervisor is required to work in a busy ISO 17025 accredited microbiology laboratory based in Bournemouth (Wallisdown area).

The company’s client portfolio covers local, national and international businesses, and involves testing a wide range of sample types including foods, cosmetics, waters and environmental samples.

The role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a team, implementing process improvements and maintaining high standards of quality and H&S.

As the Laboratory Supervisor, you will:
Manage and prioritise work schedules for scientists and technicians;
Screen incoming requests for appropriate tests and methods and ensure that they are performed correctly;
Be required to follow instructions and procedures with careful attention to detail;
Support and train the team in testing procedures;
Ensure provision of reliable and precise test results in a timely way;
Ensure safe practices in the laboratory in accordance with company and legal requirements;
Support the laboratory managers.

Essential requirements for this position are an ability to work under pressure, have good organisational skills and be a team player.

Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
