We are recruiting for a Plant Coordinator to join a construction company which specialises in Civil Engineering, Groundworks & Concrete Frames, they are looking for someone who has interest in the industry and is willing to learn and develop.
- Ordering of internal & external plants
- Deal with all invoices relating to Plant in a timely manner
- Liaise with Transport, Buying & Workshop departments to ensure we utilise all plant & materials available
- Work within a team and offering support to colleagues
- To make sure all items are accompanied with the correct certification
- Have an understanding of what materials and products are in the yard
- Holiday & absence cover
- Assist with the purchasing of new plant & sale of old plant
- Assist & having knowledge of the asset list
- Deal with site thefts, offering security solutions, this includes understanding and maintaining internal systems and databases
- Produce and assist with reports
- Attend pre-start meetings, this includes site & office meetings

**Internal Plant**
- This includes being involved in stock takes
- To make sure to communicate with all departments and site relating to plant
- Liaise with the workshop for updates on newly fixed plant
- Liaise with transport for delivery and collection of plant
- Keep electronic records of orders placed and plant movements
- Keep paperwork relating to deliveries, such as tickets

**External Plant**
- Only to be used when deemed not cost effective to use our own plant
- Speak to suppliers and negotiate keen rates
- Monitor damages
- Negotiate rates and keep transport costs down
- Place orders on our system

**Person Specification**
- Good knowledge of I.T - Microsoft packages, Excel, Word & Outlook
- Excellent written communication and verbal skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Good sense of organisation

**Salary**

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
