We are currently recruiting for a BIM Designer to join our clients team in Northern Ireland in County Armagh.
As BIM Designer you will provide technical expertise to co-ordinate the BIM processes throughout the project lifecycle.
You will be based at our clients headquarters in Northern Ireland working on International high-profile projects within the Themed Attractions Industry.
**Duties include**:
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to produce/amend relevant BIM models.
- Dissect live REVIT files as part of a collaboration platform, comment & amend as necessary.
- Ensure design components can be inserted (error free) into the 3D coordination model being created by our client. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the following information and possess the ability to direct the design team to:
- Ensure accurate interpretation of Revit-based family content (RFA) for the use in Revit model;
- Create the necessary model files for milestone submittals & coordination in conjunction with BIM 360 collaboration efforts.
- Ensure the 3D model includes control points for proper project alignment & coordination with appropriate facilities & site conditions.
- Control the accuracy of 3D model components to ensure they are modelled correctly to reflect the final shape/size, dimensions & location of the actual product.
- Review volumetric 3D dimensional shapes to provide a full range of motion over time - overlaying the main 3D component to include the static dynamic & safety envelopes, maintenance clearance requirements, access panels, unoccupied safety zones etc. that are required for the functioning and maintenance of such components in a safe manner.
- Ensure accuracy of 3D Model components sized connection points for utility requirements, e.g., electric, pneumatic etc. You will ensure that any special hookup requirements are listed within the component.
- Control the 3D models & components as per client requirements to ensure they are organised & coordinated in separate files based on the show scenes/zones.
**Essential Criteria**:
- You will be educated with a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role or as a BIM Technician, BIM Designer, BIM Co-Ordinator.
- You will be competent in BIM & BIM 360 cloud services and be proficient in the use of various design software packages, techniques & tools such as REVIT, 3D AutoCAD, Solid works etc.
- Excellent knowledge of industry standards & ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a deadline focus.
- You will have excellent communication skills.
- You must be a creative thinker and problem solver.
- You must have a flexible and “can do attitude”.
