Cost Control

**Cost Control & Planning Engineer - £40 - 50 per hour inside ir35 - 6 months (extension highly likely) - Clitheroe, Lancashire - Hybrid (3 days onsite a week) - one stage virtual interview -Sector: Green Technology**

Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a cost control & planning engineer to work with a world leader in manufacturing and green technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to monitor the delivery of all capital projects from initiation to closure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepares project plans for all capital projects on the Site.
- Monitors performance against each plan and makes the Project Group Manager and Engineering Manager aware of any issues.
- Maintains an overall capital delivery plan which allows the ongoing manpower requirements to be foreseen.
- Works closely with the Production Planner to minimise Plant outages by grouping work into the shortest possible window.
- Maintains the Site Capital Expenditure report for the Site.
- Uses SAP to monitor costs and produce detailed cost reports for each Project Manager and the Site Management Team.
- Controls procurement and expenditure for major projects via electronic indent system.

**Core Skills**:

- Experience tracking a varied portfolio of improvements, modifications, task management systems or capital projects from inception to successful completion.
- An engineering background but also possess a good knowledge of financial systems.
- SAP experience

**Desirable Skills**:

- Have experience within a corporate environment ideally operating in Chemicals manufacturing or hazardous materials, including top tier COMAH or other highly regulated business.
