**About The Role**:
Are you a Physical Processes specialist with a proven track record in consultancy? GoBe consultants, part of the APEM group, are actively recruiting an experienced physical processes consultant to be part of our growing team

**About the role**

As a senior consultant, you will have the opportunity to work in and help shape a rapidly developing company involved in some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure development projects in the UK. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support and advice to clients and project teams, technical data gathering and management and producing high quality reports for environmental impact assessments.

One of your key responsibilities in this role will be to provide technical advice, assessment and strategic direction for our existing clients and projects, offering specialist input on our physical processes related workstreams. You will provide physical processes support on our UK project portfolio, contributing to and/or leading on stakeholder engagement.

Please note that due to our desire to regularly work together face-to-face as a team; the successful applicant needs to live within a commutable distance of
**our Glasgow or Buckfastleigh office as we expect the majority of the time in office to support staff (3 days per week)**; the rest of the time you will work from home.

**About you**

You will have:

- A degree, (preferably MSc/PhD level) in a relevant discipline (geo-sciences, oceanography, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communication, organisational and time management skills
- Working knowledge of the technical assessments underpinning marine processes work (e.g. numerical modelling, sediment plumes and hydrodynamic assessments etc.), ideally related to offshore wind development
- Understanding of marine and coastal processes, including coastal behaviour, seabed mobility, seabed features and the interaction between oceanography, sedimentary and geomorphological processes
- Demonstrated experience of working with physical process datasets

**Desirable**
- Familiarity with commonly used numerical modelling packages (for example MIKE-21, Delft-3D)
- A professional manner, with strong inter-personal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels both within the company and externally.
- Experience of working within the planning process, ideally in England, Wales, or Scotland
- Experience working with regulators and stakeholders.
