Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for a **Technical Buyer**to join our talented team at our global head office in Manchester.

**The Technical Buyer role overview**:
Working closely with engineering, production and finance to ensure that we are getting the best value on components being bought for our products while working with our suppliers so that they are capable and reliable of meeting our demands. As we have an extensive product range and high-technology components being sourced, this role is crucial to our business development.

**Responsibilities of Technical Buyer role**:

- Working closely with Development Engineering on component sourcing for new projects and passing relevant information to all stakeholders based on market knowledge- Responsible for parts sourcing, cost reduction projects and evaluation of supplier capacity through commercial negotiations and supplier development while monitoring supplier adherence to timescales and quality using data analysis to drive improvements and mitigate risks. Lead supplier escalation campaigns benchmarking suppliers to ensure they meet objectives, production goals, quality and cost targets. Develop effective strategies for business development and systems for stock management and reporting to senior members as to how the company can develop the Procurement function for the overall benefit of the business. Manage the buying process for all projects, creating innovative strategic sourcing plans to deliver procurement solutions which will aid production planning
**Your Skills and Experience**:

- Qualification in either Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Economics- Excellent communicator with supply chain management and negotiation skills allied to strong technical and financial acumen- Incorporation of LEAN tools and KPIs to aid improved business efficiency and control- Plan for every part (PFEP) methodologies- Persuasive and influential with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple suppliers across a range of technologies
