Situated in the residential area of Davenport, Stockport, Davenport Manor is a long established residential home with a reputation for quality care and comfort.

The home is located in its own secluded grounds with ample parking facilities. Local shops, Davenport railway station, bus routes and a park are all within easy walking distance.

We provide residential accommodation for the elderly who may require varying levels of support and care ranging from basic support for daily activities to those with dementia. Provision is made for long or short term care. The home provides a perfect setting where one may recover from recent illness or an operation.

Our philosophy of care is to provide the highest quality of care to meet the needs of the individual through our well trained staff and facilities. From the initial assessment to ongoing reviews our continued evaluation ensures the best possible care. An electronic care records system facilitates timely and accurate record keeping and also serves to support staff in delivering a person centered care to residents.

Our staff team is inclusive and welcoming. In recognition of their dedication throughout this period of the pandemic they have received a monthly bonus of £30 each month.

We are seeking to recruit two Senior Night Care Assistants who share our outlook and who wish to further develop their own skills, to join our staff team

The position requires working a 24 hr to 36 hr week from 8.00 pm to 8.00 am.

Responsibilities include:

- Planning and providing exceptional care with focus on delivering a personalised experience for every resident
- Provide the highest level of personal care (bathing, washing, toileting, etc)
- Act as a Key Worker for a named group of residents
- Provide a handover to other staff as appropriate
- To understand and comply with all the statutory and legal requirements which are relevant, such as Health and Safety, COSH and all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the Home

Requirements of the Senior Night Care Assistant
- Warm, friendly and caring disposition
- Good communication skills, able to put others at ease
- Be able to work and contribute within a team
- Be familiar with the issuing medication to residents using a monitored dosage system (MDS)
- Have an NVQ (or equivalent) Level 2 or 3
- Have at least one year's experience of working in the care sector carrying out similar duties
