Relief Van Driver

Elliott Eggs Ltd supply eggs to our customers throughout Yorkshire. We are based at Bewholme near Hornsea.

Due to time wasters this position is now readvertised.

**This is not a full time position and we are looking for a keen individual to cover for holidays and sickness only, which means there may be many weeks you are not working.**

**Would perhaps suit someone who has retired early and is available at short notice.**

We require a person who can relieve for staff illness and holidays only to deliver our eggs to our customers.
- Safely and efficiently operate a van to transport eggs to designated locations
- Load and unload ensuring proper handling of a perishable food product
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including problems en route.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate loading and unloading of goods and ensure delivery notes are signed

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver,
- Familiarity with roads locally and West Riding routes
- Ability to operate van safely and efficiently
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed
- Reliability and honesty - some customers pay by cash and your figures should balance at the end of the day.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, warehouse staff, and dispatchers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
