**WHO ARE STEP BY STEP?**
Step by Step passionately believes in supporting young people who are going through hard times. Our unique step by step approach, providing accommodation, personal development opportunities and specialist support services, identifies and fulfils aspirations.
Each year we work with over 1,500 young people aged 11-25 and our employees play a pivotal role in empowering young people and preventing homelessness.
**WHAT WOULD A COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER BE DOING**
This role is part of our fundraising team. You will be seeking funds from community groups. The role will involves building new relationships to secure new funders, as well as maintaining and developing existing relationships to ensure future support.
Represent the charity to a range of potential and current supporters through a variety of mediums including presentations and face to face meetings
Attend networking events to meet potential funders and promote the work of Step by Step
Manage and monitor community fundraising income, reporting on your achievements against set targets
**WHAT IS STEP BY STEP LOOKING FOR**
- You will need strong communication and networking skills.
- Ideally has some experience working in fundraising, but will consider people who have worked customer services, sales background or account management background
- Has a full driving licence, business class insurance and access to a vehicle for work.
- Experience working with children or young people.
- A sound understanding of Safeguarding issues, roles and responsibilities.
- Successful applicants are required to undergo DBS checks and must provide two references.
**Salary**: Up to £29,000.00 per year
