Telent have an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join their Procurement Team, working within Network Services. Ideally you will have knowledge in managing software and hardware products and subscriptions.

**What you’ll do**:

- Support of RFx activities for both Bid tenders and Projects including creation and issue of NDA’s
- Support for maintenance of approved supplier list (ASL)
- Responsible for creation of iProcurement strategy
- Support investigations of supplier performance failures and work with SQA team to find resolutions
- Support supplier relationship management and develop best-fit business review schedule, in line with supplier classification
- Responsible for identification of continuous improvement opportunities
- Support with the creation and production of procurement reports and departmental metrics
- Support completion of Telent Project Lifecycle gateway deliverables in a timely manner
- Responsible to ensure appropriate use of corporate and functional processes and tools.
- Responsible for management of internal and external stakeholders.
- Support delivery of corporate and functional strategic priorities.
- Responsible for the creation and implementation of the designated commercial strategies for Network Services BU/team.
- Support for all RFx activities, sourcing process, negotiation and contracting activities for high value categories
- Responsible for the evaluation of suppliers as part of supplier on-boarding process and implementation of iProcurement strategy category code management in line with Category strategy
- Responsible for negotiation of flow-down terms for noncomplex agreements with mínimal supervision.
- Responsible for on-going supplier performance and supplier relationship management throughout the contract lifetime, including inputs to risk register and risk mitigation strategies.
- Support input into corporate and functional business continuity and disaster recovery plan.
- Implement legislative and international standards within the supply base.

**Who you are**:
The ideal Senior Buyer will have extensive experience within a procurement environment and have knowledge in managing software and hardware products and subscriptions. You will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as being MCIPS or on your MCIPs pathway is desirable. This is an important role within the team and you will have responsibility for the management of both internal and external stakeholders as well as supporting the delivery of strategic priorities.

**Key requirements**:

- Must have experience in a procurement or commercial environment
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Understanding of procurement principles, practices, and the value that Procurement can bring
- A high attention to detail and ability to achieve high levels of data accuracy
- Confidence and ability to handle large volumes of data from different sources
- Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
- Or Professional qualification MCIPS, preferably Chartered status
- Depth and breadth of experience may be considered where these qualifications have not been obtained
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management approach and skills
- Effective prioritisation of workload
- Experience of Microsoft Office 365 products especially MS Excel
- Experience or using Oracle systems, especially Oracle iProcurement would be an advantage (Desirable)
- Background in buying for Network Services would be advantage (Desirable)
