**Maintenance Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical), Sherburn in Elmet area**

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join an established business which will be setting up a new site in the Sherburn in Elmet area.

This is a stand-alone position and you will be responsible for the installation of the new machinery and once the facility is fully operational and up and running you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault finding and repair of the machinery.

You will work closely with the management team in ensuring the new site runs smoothly and maintains high satisfaction levels with its customers. There could be opportunities for career progression as the site expands.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Confer with engineers/contractors and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve machine malfunctions and provide technical information.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation displaying a hands on approach where required.
- Provide feedback to managers with a degree of accuracy.
- Able to recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Establish and co-ordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule and supply of materials and spare parts required for maintaining machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.
- Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers and other personnel to identify, define and solve machine and services related problems.
- Carry out and implement a reactive and planned maintenance system on all plant, equipment and buildings.
- Must display meticulous record keeping procedures in line with head office procedures.

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
- Mechanically and electrical maintenance experienced.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience of conveyors and furnaces would be highly desirable
- Able to work in a fast pace manufacturing environment.
- Able to work at height.
- Able to work to deadlines, under pressure and unsupervised.
- Able to manage projects to tight deadlines and to co-ordinate personnel.
- Good Quality and Health & Safety awareness.
- Must have a can do, will do attitude.

25 days holiday plus bank holiday

Standard working week is 38hrs/week, Monday to Friday, day shift

Some flexibility may be required for 'out of hours’ for planned maintenance or/and for the delivery of the new machinery. Overtime is paid

Own transport is required due to the location
