As Head of Children’s Improvement, Partnership and Voice you will be responsible for strategically leading all Children’s Service Improvement across the Partnership. You will have responsibility for delivering the major improvement programmes across the Directorate primarily focusing on our ambitions to achieve outstanding children’s social care, transform our Special Educational Needs and disability partnership and services and Our Kirklees Futures.

You will champion Children’s and Young People’s voice to embed this in strategic planning and decision-making across the Council and wider Partnership; and be responsible for the for the governance arrangements and partnership required to deliver improvement plans.

Responsible for inspection readiness on behalf of Children’s Services in relation to both Ofsted and CQC inspection regimes, your up-to-date knowledge of legislative, regulatory and best practice standards will be key to ensuring success.

You will manage and direct project teams, providing technical leadership through a matrix structure, highlighting through these arrangements any significant risk to the achievement of outcomes and opportunities to enhance delivery.

A skilled influencer, your strong stakeholder management skills will mean that you will be able to build relationships at a political, senior and management level, championing high support and high challenge to develop a shared culture of reflection, learning and improvement with Children and Young People at the centre. You will have responsibility for embedding, strengthening and assessing the impact of restorative approaches across the Directorate.
