- **We currently have a part-time, Saturday position (approx. 10-15 hours per week) available within our team. Shifts for this position are based generally around Saturdays (shifts on other days can sometimes be available due to venue hires and party bookings) and can be a variety of day shifts (starting at 12pm) and evening shifts (finishing approx 1am)**_
- **Please note that some of our shifts are late night shifts (we close at midnight on Fridays & Saturdays) and therefore you would need to be able to travel home between an hour to two hours after closing.**_
- **Key shift information**:_
- **Being available to work at least two of the days over Easter Bank Holiday each year is mandatory for this position as this is the busiest week of our year. You will be pleased to know that we close early on Christmas Eve and are closed on Christmas day and Boxing day so that our team can spend time with their loved ones. We do, however, require NYE to be worked.**_
- You do not necessarily need any experience but you do need to be able to demonstrate that you are a great team player as well as being able to work unsupervised during busy times and keen to learn._
- Joining our team as a Cocktail Bartender with Slug & Lettuce will give you the opportunity to develop important skills such as:_
- _**Communication skills, **_by listening to customers, engaging and building a rapport with them and by dealing with challenging people and situations_
- _**Experience of working under pressure **_including managing a workload at busy times_
- _**Developing an understanding of customer needs **_and using this knowledge to improve the business, for example, passing on or responding to customers’ requests and suggestions_
- _**Building a commercial awareness **_and the experience of working in a commercial environment_
- _**Working with regulations **_such as health and safety and licensing laws, and making sure that colleagues understand them_

- Our current rates of pay are: 18-20 year olds £10.00; 21 year olds and older £11.44 p/h Supplementary pay is paid on key dates over the Xmas and New Years period._
