**You will work 30 hours a week over 4 shifts, **The shifts are as follows Tuesday 7.30 -3.30, Wednesday 8-4, Thursday 8- 4 and Friday 8-4**

**What you'll be doing**:
The scope of the role is to provide a professional and patient focused administration/reception role, supporting the clinical team within the unit.

You will provide an efficient and effective reception service to patients, staff and visitors, meeting and greeting all arrivals to the department in a professional and customer/patient centred approach in line with the customer service standards of Practice Plus Group.

You will book patient their follow up appointments on discharge from the department

We receive hospital business/visitors to the hospital, you will will need to deal with enquiries and direct visitors as necessary, ensuring they sign in and out and return visitor badges and/or keys

Ensuring Patients medical records are available in the department in preparation for the start of the theatre lists.

Responding appropriately to internal requests for patient notes including ad hoc retrievals for the purposes of auditing by both internal and external auditors

You will be responsible to tracking and filing notes back to the medical records department after the patient has been discharged from the theatre department.

Take responsibility for the completion of the monthly missing demographic reports, submitting back to the Patient Referral Manager and Operations Lead

Preparing the theatre board with details on what activity and what staff are allocated to the theatre suites and t completion and distribution of theatre on Call rota.

You will also Provide general administrative role which include photocopying, opening and distribution of mail, answering the telephone dealing with bleep enquiries taking messages recording information and ordering and controlling stationary.

The shifts are shown above but you may need to be a little flexible should evening or weekends be required for the needs of the business.

**What we’ll look for in you**:
You will be experienced in dealing with the public, both in person and over the phone, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to manage difficult situations in a calm manner.

Your previous experience of working in a reception role in a healthcare or service sector will be invaluable but just as important is your ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, work flexibly and prioritise your own workload when under pressure.

**You will have**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to stay calm in difficult circumstances.
- Comfortable working using your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload
- Strong communication skills (Written and Phone)
- Substantial reception experience in Healthcare or service sector
