Goodh Brewing Co have taken the Skinner’s brand and beers under their wing and great beers require a great team which is why we’re on the lookout for 2 x production brewers.
**Duties**
**ROLE OVERVIEW**
The Production Brewer will ensure our beer is always produced to the highest quality and will cover a wide range of brewing and cellaring tasks including the production of wort, its fermentation and conditioning in line with quality control and production targets.
We have TWO roles available. One to be based at Riverside, Truro and one to be based at the Goodh Brewing site in Indian Queens. There will be a cross-over between the two sites and so there must be flexibility to switch between the sites to meet the needs of the business overall.
We are looking for experienced brewers who can hit the ground running.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working to the outlined specification for each brew.
- Maintaining a high standard of hygiene within the brewery.
- Communicating all elements of analysis throughout the brewing process.
- Reporting stock usage and organisation of the brewhouse.
- Play a crucial role of HACCP within the brewery.
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Proven work in and leading a team
- Complete technical understanding of the brewing process
- Demonstrable ability to drive the continual improvement program
- Understanding and implementation of both scientific and mechanical outputs within the brewery
- Undertake the quality assurance and control of the brewing plant
- Maintain the highest levels of hygiene within the plant
- Organise and report stock usage, as well resource management
- Experience in barrel aging
- Undertake all aspects of the brewing process from milling to yeast management
But those are the basics. We want someone to enter our dynamic and expanding team and help us drive forward through our next phase of growth.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering production targets, meeting KPI’s and specification improvement.
- Implementing and orchestrating a production specification across the brewery.
- Maintain and set the highest standards in line with BRC, SALSA & ISO 9001
- Take part in recipe design, formulation and product improvement
- Work with in and lead a growing experienced team
- Undertake corrective action reports and technical investigations
- Implement and ensure due diligence policy and traceability
**Job Details**
- Full Time // Permanent. 40 hours per week - Mostly Mon-Fri but some Saturdays might be required to meet the needs of the business.
- Hours to be agreed (depending on brew schedule)
