**The Role**
Working as part of our branch team within a busy environment, the apprentice role is a great opportunity to kick-start your career with us. The role is full of variety where no two days will be the same; through shadowing and support, you’ll learn how different roles in the branch work and interact and you will spend time in different departments, learning how we operate.
**What you will be doing**
Through involvement in all aspects of our sales and customer service activities, you will learn how to provide excellent service to our customers as well as growing your product knowledge. As part of your training, you will learn to operate a forklift truck. Throughout your apprenticeship, we will provide training, support and development to ensure you get the best possible start to your career.
**What we’re looking for**
You will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and ideally educated to A level or equivalent standard. Self-motivated and confident with a positive attitude towards providing excellent customer service, you must also be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office, are desirable.
**What we can offer**
In return for your commitment and contribution, we can offer you a great development opportunity with a company that has a strong reputation in the building materials industry. You will complete the Level 2 Customer Service apprenticeship and be supported by us throughout this programme. You will also receive an excellent basic salary, starting well above the national apprenticeship rate with regular progress reviews.
In addition, we have some great benefits including 30 days holiday a year (inclusive of Bank Holidays) a health and wellbeing programme with discounted gym membership and support for mental health, discount with a wide range of retailers and holiday providers, a contributory stakeholder pension scheme and life cover.
